Privacy policy

Who we are

Persipica is operated by Ilkan Ozemre as a sole proprietorship registered in England. When this policy refers to "Persipica," "we," "us," or "our," it means the Persipica business, its website at persipica.com and the Persipica app at app.persipica.com.

What data we collect

We collect only the data necessary to deliver our services and improve the website experience.

  • Contact form submissions. When you fill out the contact form we collect your name, email address, website, whether you're a brand or an agency, what you sell, the approximate number of products or client brands, and any additional context you provide. This data is processed by Formspree and forwarded to us by email.
  • Free AI visibility checks. When you run a free check, the brand and question you type are sent to our servers and from there to OpenAI, Google and Perplexity, whose AI services write the answers you see. We don't save the brand, the question or the answers. To limit each visitor to 5 checks a day, our servers hold your IP address in memory for up to 24 hours, then discard it. Don't type personal information into the check.
  • Persipica accounts. When you create a Persipica account we hold your name, email address and sign-in details; the brands, websites, competitors, audiences and catalogues you add; the prompts Persipica sends for you; and the answers, sources and reports that come back. Payments are taken by Stripe. We don't see or store card numbers.
  • Observation prompts. To observe a brand, Persipica sends its prompts to the AI services listed below. The prompts are about brands and products. They can include your brand name, your website and anything you write into your prompts and audiences, so don't put personal information in them.
  • Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4, which does not log or store IP addresses. GA4 collects anonymised usage data such as pages visited, session duration, referral source, device type, and approximate location (country or city level). No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.
  • Calendly bookings. If you book a call through Calendly, your name and email are collected by Calendly under their own privacy policy.

How we use your data

  • To respond to your enquiry within one business day.
  • To understand how visitors use the website so we can improve it.
  • To prepare for a Persipica walkthrough if you request one.
  • To run the free checks you ask for, and to stop them being overused.
  • To run the observations you ask for in the Persipica app, keep the evidence behind each result, send account and alert emails, and bill your plan.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Lawful basis for processing

Under UK GDPR, we process your data on the following bases:

  • Legitimate interest. Website analytics help us understand how visitors interact with the site and improve its usefulness. We have assessed that this interest does not override your rights, especially given that Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.
  • Legitimate interest. Running the free check you ask for, and holding your IP address briefly so free checks stay available for everyone.
  • Consent. When you submit the contact form, you are actively choosing to share your information with us for the purpose of receiving a response.
  • Contractual necessity. If you become a customer, we process the data needed to deliver the agreed service.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies to distinguish unique users and sessions. These cookies do not contain personally identifiable information. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by adjusting your browser cookie settings.

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or any third-party tracking cookies beyond Google Analytics.

Data kept in your browser

When you're signed in to the Persipica app, your browser keeps a copy of some of your organisation's data in its own storage on that device, so your workspace shows straight away when you come back. The copy is:

  • your brands' details, including their competitors, keywords, audience descriptions, brand voice and style notes;
  • for the brand you have open, its observation summaries and overview.

It never holds your name, email address or the list of organisations you belong to. Persipica doesn't receive the copy and doesn't use it for anything else.

The copy is labelled with the identifiers Persipica gives your account and your organisation, so it's only read while you're signed in to that organisation.

The copy is never used after 24 hours. It is deleted:

  • the next time you open the app after those 24 hours;
  • when you sign out, or open the app signed out (some older browsers keep it until someone next signs in on that browser, and delete it then if it's someone else);
  • when someone else signs in on that browser, or you switch to another client;
  • when Persipica refuses your access in any tab you have open.

You can also remove it by clearing your browser's data for app.persipica.com.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

  • Google Analytics 4 (analytics, IP-anonymised)
  • Formspree (contact form processing)
  • Calendly (meeting scheduling)
  • Cloudflare (website hosting)
  • Supabase (the Persipica app's database and sign-in; stored in Frankfurt, Germany)
  • Railway (hosting for the Persipica app)
  • Stripe (payments and invoices)
  • Resend (account and alert emails)
  • SerpAPI (reads Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode for observation prompts)
  • OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity and xAI (AI providers that receive observation prompts and write the answers. OpenAI, Google and Perplexity also answer free checks. They may keep what they are sent for a limited time under their own API terms)

Each service operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review those policies if you have concerns about how they handle data.

International transfers

Some of these services are based in, or process data in, the United States. Where personal data leaves the UK, we rely on the UK's adequacy regulations, including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or on the provider's standard contractual clauses.

Data retention

  • Contact form data is retained for as long as the business relationship is active, or for up to 24 months after the last interaction if you do not become a customer.
  • Persipica account data, including observations, answers and reports, is kept while your account is open. You can ask us to delete a brand's data or your whole account at any time by emailing us (see "Your rights").
  • Free AI visibility checks are not stored by us. Your IP address is held in memory for up to 24 hours for the daily limit.
  • Analytics data is retained for 14 months in Google Analytics, after which it is automatically deleted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data.
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time (where consent is the lawful basis).

To exercise any of these rights, email ilkan@persipica.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. The website is served over HTTPS. Contact form submissions are encrypted in transit. Access to personal data is limited to authorised personnel only.

Children's privacy

Our services are not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
